Professor Jessica Wang has been awarded a fellowship at Harvard University’s Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History for the 2018-19 academic year.
Each year, Harvard University’s Charles Warren Center hosts 6-12 visiting scholars who will contribute to Harvard’s Americanist community while conducting research. The theme of this year’s Warren Center Faculty Fellowship is “U.S. Power in the Global Arena.” At the Warren Center, Wang will work on two research projects: a broader study of inter-imperial collusion and American empire in the early twentieth century; and a closer examination of tropical agriculture and U.S. territorial rule in Hawai‘i, Puerto Rico, and Guam, 1900-1940.
