Do you have a minor or a double major in History? Are you planning to graduate in 2021/2022?

Are you curious about our new courses and faculty members, or would like to learn more about the department’s new concentrations?

Do you have questions about transfer credits or about degree requirements?

Are you wondering about internships, community experiences, opportunities to go on exchange, or about careers for History alumni?

Do you want to meet other History students, or learn more about the History Students Association?

Don’t be caught off-guard by questions about your major or minor. Join us for this important virtual information session to start your academic year right!

Hosted by the History Undergraduate Advisor, Dr. Michael Lanthier, this event will include information about completing your History program, applying to graduate, as well as dedicated time to address your questions about courses, degree requirements, academic opportunities, academic challenges, and student-directed seminars.

Dr. Steve Lee, the Undergraduate Chair, will speak about the department’s new concentrations, some of the department’s exciting new course offerings (War! Drugs! Methodology!), and introduce our newest faculty members.

This event will equip you with information about internships, Arts Co-op, Go Global and other extracurricular experiences to enhance your education and prepare you for your career path after graduation.

Additionally, students in the History Student Association (HSA) will be on hand to show how participation in the HSA can enrich your experience in History at UBC.

Don’t miss out, and save the event access link in your calendars. We look forward to seeing you!
